As a star of The CW show "The Vampire Diaries" Michael Trevino has the unique opportunity to reach a dedicated fan base.

Today he used that to his advantage to help Levi Maestro in his effort to aid the Ebola relief for Operation Blessing.

In a video posted by Maestro, the owner of a brand called Stro, Trevino makes a guest appearance as Maestro visits some of his famous friends to help promote the sales of his hats.

100 percent of the profit from the sales of the "Living" hats will be donated to Operation Blessing and their efforts to fight the Ebola virus in Liberia.

Trevino talked about being one of the first celebrities to support StroShop.com and the brand.

He made his cameo count for a greater cause.

His character Tyler in "The Vampire Diaries" wasn't featured in last weeks episode "Black Hole Sun." However, with the continuous development on a budding romance between Tyler and Liv (Penelope Mitchell) there could be a lot more of Trevino in the episodes to come.

Fans of Trevino can catch him on CW TV's "The Vampire Diaries," Thursday at 8 P.M.
