One of the most talked about series this year happens to be This Is Us and Ellen DeGeneres invited Justin Hartley to her show, to talk about his role in the show and more during his first visit to The Ellen Show.

During the interview, Ellen DeGeneres shared a super throwback to when Hartley gave her the Emmy for Best Talk Show a few years ago. Hartley said he remembered the little dance she did and just like magic, the clip played in the background.

The actor said he thought it was more of a personal moment between them. He said she's won so many that it's hard to keep track.

DeGeneres then congratulated Hartley on the success on the new TV series This Is Us. Hartley said he has been trying for years to get a hit show under his belt. He said he had to occasionally call his parents and tell them it's fine.

They would always ask him if he is sure he wanted to go through with the pilot. Hartley used to work on the soap opera, Passions.
