"You know I got an issue with mainstream radio right now," said Tyrese in a TMZ video.

"I don't create limits for myself so I don't appreciate mainstream not playing my song.

We got the number one song in the country on Billboard, and when I think about Sam Smith, Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke, when they're singing soul their songs are being played on all formats of radio including urban stations."

"We don't say because they're white, they should only be played on the white stations," he continued.

"If I'm number one R&B with 'Shame' featuring Jennifer Hudson, my song deserves to be heard by the world. You can't expect me to sell albums when you're limiting my reach."

Tyrese also told the camera man that Ryan Seacrest and Elvis Duran were two personalities that he reached out to in order to have his single played however, neither have gotten back to him.

He also said that if one of the aforementioned names were singing "Shame" it would be played widely across the entire radio spectrum.
