What to do in Northern Armenia, Armenia
Northern Armenia, also known as the Lori region, is a beautiful and historic place situated in the north-eastern part of Armenia. Tourism in this part of Armenia has been steadily growing, as more and more people discover the beautiful landscapes, stunning churches, and peaceful mountain villages.
Here are some of the top tourist attractions in Northern Armenia:
1. Haghpat Monastery
Haghpat Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the picturesque village of Haghpat. It is a masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture, with its beautifully decorated churches, chapels, and bell tower. One of the most impressive structures in the monastery is the Cathedral of Surb Nishan, with its unique cruciform design and decorative reliefs.
2. Sanahin Monastery
