In the mini preview it looks like the odds may be stacked against Tanner Foust for next weeks episode of "Top Gear America,"

as he races a VW Golf R against Adam Ferrara in a Lamborghini and Rutledge Wood in a Porsche.

The Volkswagen Golf R is according to CarAndDriver.com, "an all-out GTI derivative with a 290-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged four, a six-speed manual, all-wheel drive, a specifically tuned chassis, beefier brakes, and a luxuriously appointed cabin.

It's the best Golf ever, and it's offered in limited numbers to those who can justify its price premium over a base GTI."

But for all that the Golf R is pitting it against a Lamborghini seems completely unfair as the Lambo stands in the supercar category.

If fans of the show think that the Lambo is the flat out winner they may need to think again as the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is about 0.4 second quicker to 60 mph than a regular Carrera 4, according to CarAndDriver.com.

It also boasts a 3.8 liters and raises output to 400 hp from 350 and torque to 325 lb-ft from 287, according to the article.

In the clip, Foust admires the Porsche, selected by Wood, as a competitor even though it is quite faster than the Golf R, however, he shows distaste for Ferrara's choice of a Lamborghini.

The clip ends as Foust jumps the start in order to sort of even things up. Fans who want to see the entire episode will have to watch next Tuesdays episode of "Top Gear America"
