Anthony Cumia, host of "Opie and Anthony," a Sirius XM radio show, was fired after his racial Twitter rant.

"The decision was made, and Cumia, informed, late Thursday, July 3 after careful consideration of his racially-charged and hate-filled remarks on social media," said senior vice president of Communications, SiriusXM, Patrick Reilly in a statement to TheWrap.

The action was taken after Cumia posted a slew of hateful Twitter posts agains the black community.

"It's really open season on white people in this day and age. No recourse. Fight back and you're a racist. The predators know this. Good luck," wrote Cumia on July 2.

"There's a deep seeded problem with violence in the black community. Try to address it and you'll be exiled to racistville. But it's realm," the former host continued.

"My posts on twitter after I was assaulted were profanity laced indeed but racist? Nope. Why should I afford my attacker any courtesy? Insane," read the final post the following day.

CBSNews.com reports that Cumia, after finding out that he was terminated from the show, took to Twitter once more saying, "Sirius decided to cave and fire me. Welcome to bizarro world.

Fired for s*** that wasn't even on air & wasn't illegal. So, who's next?"
