Sting Sits Down With 'The View': Special Teaser Surprise Revealed

Hit musician Sting accompanied by a performance cast from his Broadway show "The Last Ship" appeared on "The View" Monday.

Sting's new musical is inspired by some of life experiences. Right away the hosts asked Sting about his surprise street performances every now and then.

Gretchen Wilson who was a co-host for Monday's show actually took her daughter to see the show and she says that she actually loved it.

The play is complete love story that Sting has created and to have a little fun "The View" showed him a video that was put together by his cast who covered his song.

Along with the music, Sting also promoted his "Message In A Bottle" wine.

After the discussion Sting's performance cast did a heartfelt number from "The Last Ship" giving a fans a little taste of what they can expect from the musical.

Sting made sure to surprise the entire audience with tickets to the show.

Sting and the performance cast promoted "The Last Ship," which according to the NY Daily News, was in financial jeopardy.

"Sting is determined to do whatever he can to make sure his troubled musical 'The Last Ship' doesn't sink until after the Tony Awards, including waiving royalties he was set to make from the show," reported the NY Daily News.

"The producers were sure that after the reviews of the show, which were mixed, sales would increase -- but they didn't."
