Starz Announces Black Sails #TakeWhatsYours Treasure Hunt

Black Sails Season 2 premieres January 24. To get fans in the excited for its debut, Starz is starting the Take What's Yours Treasure Hunt: If you can find one of two treasure chests, then a prize of $5,000 could be yours.

The contest starts on January 10, when Black Sails' official twitter account post clues as to the chests' whereabouts.

If you can't find the money, don't worry; there are also $500 consolation prizes for the show's knowledgeable fans. Starz stated in a press release to "brush up on your Black Sails trivia."

If you find the treasure chest, it is likely that you will be featured on some sort of ad for the show.

Part of the legal section for the contest states, "The participants who arrive at each Secret Location must agree to be filmed and be on camera as well as sign a waiver of liability/appearance release ('Release') giving Sponsor permission to use your likeness, voice, and any and all statements, etc.

on camera prior to participating."

If you want to be part of a promotion campaign for Starz's flagship series, stay tuned for clues about where the chest might be. If you aren't in the city where the chest is, you're out of luck.

Black Sails is a prequel to the famous novel, Treasure Island. It covers the adventures of Long Jon Silver before his ascent to infamy on the high seas.

It includes historical pirates, such as: Charles Vane, Anne Bonny, Jack Rackham, and Benjamin Hornigold.
