Creator of "The Wicker Man," Robin Hardy, is collecting money to in order to film the third movie, "The Wrath of the Gods".

"The Wicker Man" is an iconic movie in terms of horror, was released in 1973. The next movie, "The Wicker Tree," wasn't done until 2011. Both movies feature a devout Christian trying to convert a group of people worshipping the Celtic Gods.

In "The Wicker Man," Sergeant Howie goes to investigate the disappearance of an Island girl, only nothing is quite making sense. "The Wicker Tree," involves a couple going to Scotland to preach Christianity and being tricked by villagers.

The films are all a mix of comedy, horror, and daunting music. Neither movie carries over any of the same character, it's just the over arching themes that make their way into these films.

"Wrath of the Gods" will be similar, conveying the themes from the last two movies but the storyline and setting will be all new. The kickstarter for the film is being hosted on IndieGoGo. The plot of the movie is based on an amusement park.

"Whimsey CEO Herb Boden (James Mapes) and his son Ziggy (Christopher Leveaux) are led into this doomed enterprise by the lovely Bryn (Halla Williams), herself a Scandinavian who sings like an Angel.

Her father, Oscar, chief of Police, tries to keep the peace between the Whimsey crowd and the resentful Vikings.

He is diverted by the arrival of the beautiful Clarissa, who shares his passion for Steam Punk and is a kindred spirit."

Hardy always meant to make it into three films but believes that fans will think the forty year wait will be worth it. Hardy will be directing the movie, just as he directed the previous two. The IndieGoGo project is due to the amount of areas that will have to be crafted for the film.

The movie will also hold an elements of steam punk and a large Viking ship. Hardy is looking for $250,000, at minimum but reminds fans that the more money donated means the more out of the box the movie will be able to go.

Hardy plans to start shooting in October. Learn more here.
