The Kimball Art Center kicks off the 45th Annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival on Friday, August 1st, with activities wrapping up Sunday evening, August 3rd on Park City's Historic Main Street.

The three-day festival was just named one of the top 20 festivals in the country by Smithsonian Magazine.

Festival goers will experience fine art from nationally known visual artists, live music on multiple stages, the kids' art area, live art demonstrations, Taste of Art specials from some of Park City's premier restaurants, the Utah Artisan Tasting experience and free community yoga classes.

"We want to encourage locals and visitors to plan to experience our 45th festival," says Robin Marrouche, Executive Director of the Kimball Art Center.

"This year, we will have more new artists than ever before, and plenty to entertain all ages at the festival," she adds. "When people come to the festival, they are truly supporting the arts in Park City."

The event is the largest summertime event for Park City, with more than 50-thousand attendees each year.

Hundreds of artists will exhibit at this year's festival in an exciting array of mediums including: ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, painting, mixed medium, metal, photography, printmaking, wood, sculpture and jewelry.

By day, festival-goers will enjoy live music performances on three stages. The Festival After Dark continues the entertainment at night with outdoor concerts, live comedy and a special Sundance Institute outdoor film screening.

Many of the Festival After Dark happenings are free and open to the public. A complete schedule of performances, events, ticket information, lodging and recreation packages are available at www.parkcitykimballartsfestival.org.
