For Harry Potter fans, Christmas will come a little early this year. Pottermore has just announced that starting Friday, Dec. 12, the website will be releasing a new item each day until Dec. 23.

"With wonderful writing by J.K. Rowling in Moments from Half-Blood Prince, shiny gold Galleons and even a new potion or two, make sure you don't miss out - just visit pottermore.com and answer our rhyming riddles to unwrap a #PottermoreChristmas surprise every day," said the official website.

The site also announced its new Instagram, @Pottermore, and its first photo is the advertisement to their special Christmas event:

Fans have also been sharing their excitement on its Facebook page's event, where over 3.9 thousand said they would attend and follow the Pottermore posts.

This has been a busy week for Rowling. Just this week she announced that her graduation commencement speech at Harvard in 2008 will become an illustrated inspirational book.

The speech, "Very Good Lives: The Fringe Benefits of Failure and the Importance of Imagination," will be transformed into a book and illustrated by Joel Holland.

In the speech, Rowland admits that her past was filled with darkness and failures, but her love for literature and imagination helped her see the light.

"It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default," she said in her speech.

"Failure gave me an inner security that I had never attained by passing examinations. Failure taught me things about myself that I could have learned no other way."

All proceeds to her book will go to Lumos, her organization that aids disadvantaged children, and Harvard Financial Aid.

It's safe to say that J.K. Rowling is in the spirit of giving this year, and Harry Potter fans definitely aren't upset about it.
