Dragonball Absalon is one of the most ambitious projects based on the popular anime. YouTube user, Mellavelli--founder of Max Gene Animation Studios-- created the series. And it takes place after the events of Dragonball GT.

While being fan-made, the series has gathered a large following. With almost 100,000 likes on Facebook, many fans are asking the same question: when will Dragonball Absalon Episode 3 be released?

Mellavelli's last visible activity relating to the series came in mid- July when he thanked his fans via social media for donating to the show.

He also put a teaser for a future episode on YouTube--showing an action scene between Gohan and an ostensibly corrupted Trunks.

But it has been months since Mellavelli posted anything pertaining to his popular series; Dragonball Absalon Episode 2 was released in July of last year. And the series premiered in December of 2012.

Fans have speculated about Mellavelli's lack of activity.

Dragonball is a series that is experiencing renewed popularity; Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods was released in American theaters during the summer. Series creator, Akira Toriyama, has since announced that he is writing a sequel to the film.
