Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Going to Space

Sky Battles were introduced in Pokemon X and Y, but the franchise has decided to take it to a new level.

Deoxys will be making a return in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The legendary Pokemon is also going to take the franchise to the final frontier. The Pokemon Co.

released a trailer via their Twitter account showing off all the legendary creatures available in their upcoming title. Highlighting Deoxys, the trailer revealed that you will do battle with the legendary Pokemon while on the back of Mega Rayquaza...

in space.

A brief clip in the trailer showed a character ascending into the heavens on the back of the legendary Pokemon. Dressed in a space suit, you see a picturesque shot of the globe as you soar across the sky.

Deoxys first appeared in Ruby and Sapphire--the games on which Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are based.

He is an alien-like Pokemon that can assume different forms that put emphasis on offense, defense, or speed. He was also given a title role in Pokemon: Destiny Deoxys.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will also feature legendary Pokemon from different generations, such as Raikou, Suicune, and Entei--the beast trio that first appeared in the Gold and Silver versions.
