YouTube star gamer PewDiePie posted the full gameplay of "Life Is Strange" Episode 1, a new episodic game series released on Steam on January 29.

PewDie has been relying on short, comedic posts for the last few months, highlighting cartoons, spoof videos, flash games, and montages. This is PewDiePie's first authentic playthrough since posting Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons on December 1, 2014.

"It's just like Walking Dead," PewDiePie states, referring to the popular Telltale Game Series that gets its appeal as an interactive, player-driven narrative. "It's been a while since we played something where we just chill."

"Life Is Strange" has received "overwhelmingly positive" reviews from users on Steam. The story revolves around an 18-year-old female protagonist named Max, a student with a "unique skill."

PewDiePie's first impressions include the game being "artsy" and "cutesy." He was also immediately reminded of "the girl from Second Son with the laser powers."

The first episode, "Chrysalis," opens with Max waking up outdoors in the middle of a thunderstorm, unsure of where she is and how she got there.

Her first task is to make it to the nearby lighthouse, but as she approaches, she see's a whirling hurricane vortex, and says, "Holy sh*t." She then wakes up. It was all a dream.

"I thought it was surprisingly good," PewDie said at the end of the episode.

"Looking at the quirkiness and the artsiness, you'd think I wouldn't like it, but I actually did enjoy it." Overall, it felt like a unique experience, and felt like he enjoyed this more than he did the first episode of "The Walking Dead."

If you like what you see, PewDie encourages fans to leave a "like" or comment, and he will continue to post playthroughs of future episodes.
