Yoko D'Holbachie is a Japanese artist whose work is a sort of hybrid of Junko Mizuno and David Cook's art.

Her paintings depict doe-eyed alien-like creatures in surreal settings. Multiple pairs of eyes, tentacles, and horns adorn her little larva-esque mutants, who charm as much as they repulse.

Bright, candy colors and vivid patterns make viewers feel like they have stepped into some kind of nuclear waste zone or someone's acid-induced dream.

D'Holbachie's artwork is currently on exhibit at Last Rites Gallery in NYC until April 12th.
