If you were a huge fan of Nina Dobrev's character Elena Gilbert on"The Vampire Diaries" chances are you're going to have to jump ship to another one of their amazing and dynamic characters.

However, there is still a possibility that you'll get a glimpse of Dobrev if it's necessary for season seven, according to executive producer Julie Plec.

When TV Line asked Plec if there will still be any footage of the sleeping-spellbound Elena, Plec replied by saying:

"None that we've done so far, but I don't think we wouldn't use it. If it calls for it, we will."

So there is a sliver of hope for Dobrev/Elena fans that their character will be revisited in the show. Of course, there is no getting away from her character in dialogues within the show because characters are still coping with her loss.

Plec, Caroline Dries and the entire cast of the show have been giving fans substantial teasers for season seven of "The Vampire Diaries," especially when it comes to what might be the new power couple "Steroline" (Candice Accola/Paul Wesley).

Dries also dismissed Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) (Bamon) relationship when it comes to a romantic twist by saying that Bonnie will have her own new romantic endeavor within "The Vampire Diaries." All in all Mystic Falls is being shaken up but the executive producers and writers for the show seem to have some pretty interesting plot/character dynamics planned for when "The Vampire Diaries" returns on October 8.
