MoCCA Fest Starts Today

If you haven't already heard, the MoCCA (or, the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art) Fest will kick off tomorrow, April 5th, at 11:00 a.m.

The MoCCA is an annual, weekend-long exhibit produced by the Society of Illustrators in NYC, that showcases the work of independent comic artists from around the country. Thousands of artist participate, setting up booths and hosting educational panels,

This year, MoCCA will be held at the 69th Regent Armory in Manhattan and will take place from 11-6 Saturday and Sunday.

Guests of honor will include:
Alison Bechdel, creator of long-running comic strip "Dykes to Watch Out For."
Howard Cruse, creator of the comic strip, "Wendel," and graphic novel, "Stuck Rubber Baby," among other notable works.
Fiona Staples, best known for her work in the popular comic series, "Saga."
Robert Williams, founder of Juxtapoz magazine.

Wait, it gets even better. Admission is a mere $5 per day. If you're in the area then you have no excuse not to go.
