'The Maze Runner' Tops Worldwide And Domestic Box Offices : 'Lucy' Remains No. 3 Worldwide

"The Maze Runner" has taken over the top spot as "Lucy" still manages to stay strong at No. 3 worldwide.
Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "20th Century Fox's "The Maze Runner" moves to No. 1 in the world with a $70.1 million weekend from 51 territories. The overall cume is now $81.5 million. The film is No. 1 in 50 countries around the world."
"Thomas is deposited in a community of boys after his memory is erased," says IMDB.com, "soon learning they're all trapped in a maze that will require him to join forces with fellow "runners" for a shot at escape."
The film stars MTV "Teen Wolf" star Dylan O'Brien and Kaya Scodelario.
