Mazda Motor Corporation today revealed updated versions of the Mazda6 and Mazda CX-5 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The updated models will go on sale in Japan and the USA in January 2015 before being rolled out to other global markets.

Both the updated Mazda6 and CX-5 adopt Mazda's latest ideas and technologies to offer new levels of depth and maturity.

They feature a more refined design expression, enhanced dynamic performance for a higher-quality and more comfortable ride, the Mazda Connect car connectivity system,*2 and Mazda's i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety technologies.

Furthermore, they become the first Mazda models to adopt new-generation Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH), offering the driver enhanced hazard-recognition support at night.

The updated Mazda6 and CX-5 are on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show together with the all-new Mazda CX-3 compact crossover SUV and all-new Mazda MX-5 (Mazda Roadster in Japan), the automaker's iconic two-seater open-top sports car.

Mazda's Representative Director, President and CEO, Masamichi Kogai said, "Since their introduction, our new-generation models have proven very popular among customers.

Now, with our CX-3 to be introduced into the fast-growing compact SUV segment, the updated Mazda6 and CX-5 reflecting our latest technologies and ideas, and the all-new MX-5 as a symbol of the Mazda brand, our new-generation line-up responds to the needs of an even wider range of customers.

Moving forward, we will continue refining our new-generation models with the hope that these products will enrich people's lives, and help to build a strong and lasting bond between Mazda and our customers."
