When it comes to characters, Matthew McConaughey can pretty much play the part of anyone you can think of.

He recently stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to chat about his holiday plans and accompany Fallon in a kid theater skit.

While McConaughey was named as the #1 reason to love America by People magazine, he'll be enjoying his holidays in Brazil. The star told Fallon that because his wife is from there, they go to visit all of her family.

He said he has been about four to five times and covered mostly all of Brazil. His kids are also taking Portuguese classes and are very excited for the trip.

McConaughey also chatted about his mom, who he says lives on controversy. The actor said that his mom can out-party him easily.

He and his mom have very different parenting styles as hers is much more direct.

Later on in the show, McConaughey and Fallon got together to preview some scenes from his new film Gold. The catch is, they aren't reading actual lines, they are reading lines that elementary school kids wrote.
