When a caller named Wheels congratulated Howard Stern for being one of the two top earning personalities in entertainment, as reported by Forbes, Stern said it wasn't true.

Forbes reported that Stern and "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell were tied at the top of the list with $95 million.

"That's not true. I don't make 95, I really don't. I wish I did," Stern said.
"You sure?" Wheels asked.
"I kinda know what I make," Stern said.

Dorothy Pomerantz at Forbes magazine writes: "America's Got Talent judge Howard Stern ties Cowell at the top of our list with $95 million.

Stern makes most of his money from his lucrative contract with Sirius XM, but he gets an estimated $15 million per year from his work as a judge on the talent show.

Stern's contract with Sirius is up in 2015 but the company's CFO says he expects Sirius and Stern will be able to hammer out a new agreement."

"You beat Oprah!" Robin said. Oprah Winfrey makes a reported $82 million. Other personalities on the list include Glenn Beck at $90 million, and Phil McGraw with $77 million.

"I'd be proud to own that title if it was true," Stern said.

According to Stern's Forbes profile, Stern earns $95 million as of June 2014. Perhaps Forbes needs to make a correction? Or state that they've reported a guess-timation?

Regardless of Stern's earnings, he's a top personality in our hearts.
