Rapper Kid Cudi may be quiet where music is concerned but he recently joined the NOH8 campaign and took to promoting Eli Roth's 6 Seconds of Scare contest.

Cudi is staying in touch with the media and his fans by embarking on some pretty cool campaigns.

According to the main site, "The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska (http://www.bouska.net) and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8.

Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest."

Cudi tweeted his photo last week with the caption, Equality for all, to show his support for the cause.

Being a man of the people and his over one million Twitter followers, he was able to gain a nice amount of positive feedback from Twitter fans.

Aside from his contributions to the NOH8 Campaign, Cudi is also participating in Eli Roth's 6 Seconds Scare contest alongside, Vanessa Hudgens, Quentin Tarantino, Elijah Wood and Rob Lowe.

Te eclectic group of celebrities have come together to promote a competition in which, contestants try to scare the aforementioned celebrities in hopes to win the chance to develop a Hollywood idea with Eli Roth and a major Hollywood production company, according to the main site.

So while the music has been put on the back burner for now, Cudi looks to be focusing his creative efforts in different directions.
