Katie Holmes has optioned the film rights to "All We Had," a novel by artist and author Annie Weatherwax according to WebProNews.com.

"All We Had is a novel about 13-year-old Ruthie who, along with her rough mother Rita, gets evicted from her home," said the article.

"The down-and-out pair seek a fresh start in a strange town called Fat River. The quirky locals are said to provide quite the backdrop for the action."

Holmes is also serving as a mentor to Jon Goldman, Satsuki Okawa, and script writer Ken Ochiai for "Life Is Amazing," an upcoming Lexus Short film series. Looks like Holmes is making a comeback after a short term hiatus.
