Jerry Springer and Steve Wilkos joined Howard Stern on Monday morning to celebrate 20 happy years together!

The Jerry Springer Show is basically a staple in American television culture.

It has run for 23 seasons since 1991, is currently in its 24th, and has featured a whole manner of controversy surrounding the insane level of violence between visitors on the show--aka, the pinnacle of day time television.

"The original contract was six weeks," Springer told Stern, and oh how it has grown. At one point in the late '90s, they even beat Oprah in the ratings.

Steve Wilkos, who first came to fame as the legendary director of security on the Springer show, received a spin off called The Steve Wilkos Show in 2007.

It basically functions in the same way, featuring troubled teens, bisexual affairs and a whole other manner of shenanigans.

Springer is a frequent Stern Show visitor, and his chemistry with Stern is truly magical.

He also appeared on the show in August 2014, where he talked to Stern about his producers' decision to eliminate all violence from The Jerry Springer Show.

Can you imagine The Jerry Springer Show without its characteristic hair-pulling, chair-throwing, cuss-slinging charm? Neither can Springer, and he told Stern he'd consider not continuing the show if his producers insisted on changing it without his input.

Alas, Monday marks a momentous landmark for the Springer show. Here's to twenty more years!
