Jennifer Lawrence To Be At 'Hunger Games' Exhibition In New York

New York is holding an exhibition in honor of the apocalypse world of "The Hunger Games." Star of the franchise, Jennifer Lawrence will be attending the exhibition along with fans.

"The Hunger Games" has followed in the footsteps of "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" in terms high grossing book to movie adaptations. It's also split that last book into two films, the second of which is set to come out in the fall. The books were written by Suzanne Collins who took inspiration from the Greek myth, "Theseus and the Minotaur," and her father's personal experience with the consequences of war.

"The Hunger Games" trilogy tells the story of a world still reaping the consequences for a war that happened over seventy years ago. The main protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, goes from a causal citizen to the beacon of another revolution.

"Hunger Games" has pulled out all the stops in attracting audiences to get involved with as much of the franchises as possible before the conclusion in "The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay, part II." There's already a website, were fans can sign up and pledge their allegiance to revolution.

On July 1st, Time Square will be home to an exhibition dedicated to the culture inside the books. Lawrence revealed that she would be attending the exhibition on July 1st, the opening day.

The exhibition will be separated into different areas that fans can explore. The areas will include Districts 12 and 13, where the Everdeen comes from and where the revolution is formed.

There is also an area dedicated to the Capitol and all of its finery and fans will be able to see into the lives of characters like Cinna, Snow, and TV host Caesar Flickerman.
