Two big names in the music world will be on The Howard Stern Show, Wednesday morning: Jennifer Hudson and John Mellencamp. "It's going to be a fun morning," Stern said.

Award winning actress and singer, Jennifer Hudson, has a new album, JHUD, which will deviate in energy from her previous, Grammy award winning albums.

"Hudson calls this infusion of energy 'Jenniferizing,' and she says it drives her new album," writes NPR Staff.

The former American Idol finalist's third studio album is released Tuesday, September 23.

John Mellencamp will also be on the show, and is reportedly bringing his guitar and an accompanying violinist.

The American singer-songwriter's 2015 Plain Spoken American Tour begins January 21, in South Bend, Indiana, to go off of his recently released 2014 album PLAIN SPOKEN.

PLAIN SPOKEN is Mellencamp's 22nd studio album, and is the first in almost five years. The first two singles, TROUBLED MAN and SOMETIMES THERE'S GOD, rely on his acoustic guitar playing. We can guess a live performance is in store.

Howard Stern also name dropped Neil Young, Jim Carrey, Robert Downey Jr., Amy Poehler, Martin Short, and Lena Dunham to appear on the show in the near future.
