With the release of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1" set for Thursday, Ellen DeGeneres hosts Julianne Moore as she dishes some more details on the film.

As Moore sat down with DeGeneres, she talked about how excited her children are that she is a part of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1" and how much they enjoy the books.

Her daughter was actually on set at one point during the filming and ways able to meet Jennifer Lawrence.

Moore plays the leader of the revolution and said that the filming started about a year ago and also talked about shooting "Still Alice" another movie that she shot while filming "The Hunger Games."

"Still Alice" is based on a novel about a 50-year-old woman who has early on-set Alzheimers and learns valuable lessons along the way.

In a shocking and fun turn of events, DeGeneres and Moore took turns throwing pies at two audience members as they stood behind cardboard posters of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1."

Moore's appearance is just one day after Elizabeth Banks, another "Hunger Games" star, as they continue their rounds to promote the newest film in "The Hunger Games" saga. "The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Pt.

1" is set in District 13 where the playing field has been leveled by Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).

Recently Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth made their promotional appearance on "Saturday Night Live," where they all had a little fun bombarding Harrelson's monologue at the beginning of the show.
