Any fan of "The Howard Stern Show" knows that writer Richard Christie likes to drink.

Christie has to get drunk before boarding a plane, has ingested alcohol through his rectum on the air, and generally admits that he has a drinking problem. Christie loves his beer and he made hos trip to San Diego Comic Con all about the local brews.

He blogged about his beer journey and Howard Stern.com posted what he had to say.

Christie explained what he saw as his opportunity in the post.

"I've been a fan of West Coast IPA's and California beers for a long time so when I found out I was going to Comic Con this year with my work wife Sal Governale and several other coworkers I was ecstatic.

There were many reasons for me to be excited about Comic Con.

The beautiful weather, the horror film themed booths at Comic Con (I took my picture with a gang of Michael Meyers' from Halloween), the great interviews that Sal and I were sure to get, the Stern Show sponsored Comic Con party, the live Wrap Up Shows, and THE BEER!"

On an edition of "The Wrap-Up Show" which aired this week despite Stern being off, Christie also detailed the breweries he visited and the stunning amount of beer he bought inside the airport to consumer on his trip home.

His drinking continued after the flight, just a few hours before he had to report for work.

"During the hour long wait in the cab line at JFK I decided to delve into my luggage and pop open a few cans of the Pizza Port Brewing SIPA, which made the wait for a cab go by much faster and also eased any stress I would have normally had after a long day of flying," he wrote.
