H oward Stern already works a three day week from Monday through Wednesday. Now, the radio host, told his audience Monday, he will also be taking Wednesday's off for the next two weeks.

Stern, who just returned from a two week vacation told his listeners that taping the final episodes of "America's Got Talent," which airs on Tuesday night make it impossible for him to do a Wednesday show starting at 6 a.m.

He said he had offered to still do the radio show if he could start at 8 a.m., but SiriusXM would not allow that.

The host has long spoke about moving his show to either a later start or even afternoons as getting up early is one of the hardest parts of doing the program.

In reality, the lack of a Wednesday show does not mean Stern is doing less shows in the course of a year.

His contract specifies a certain number of programs and in some years he has actually worked a four day week at times to reach the contracted number.

Still, it's hard for fans to accept a show that once aired daily only airing twice a week and an Empty Lighthouse poll found that our readers believe that Stern does take too much time off.
