Short answer: no. But Sal Governale chatted with Stern on the show Wednesday morning to set the record straight after he discussed his "essential tremors" on "The Wrap-Up Show" on Tuesday.

"I'm on medication because of that now," Governale said. "Lately, whenever Howard mentions my name, or I have to do something for Howard, I shake because I'm afraid of screwing up."

"What a f***ing maniac," Stern said. "His personal life is a mess too."

Sal Governale, a segment writer for the Stern Show, is someone Stern says he hardly ever sees, never mind say anything critical to him.

"They're genetic to a certain degree," Robin said. "You can't give someone essential tremors." "Essential tremors" is a type of involuntary shaking, and is inherited through family.

Sal went on air Wednesday morning to clarify that he did not blame Stern for his anxiety. "I take my job so seriously that I don't want to screw up," he said.

Stern suggested he return to being a stock broker if the pressure is too much for him, but Governale insists that's not the issue.

"I've had essential tremors before, and they've progressively gotten worse," Governale said. "I'm correcting it with medication."

Stern once taught Governale how to practice transcendental meditation, but Governale quit because he didn't believe it was going to work for him. "He had to sit quietly with himself, I wouldn't do that either," Robin said.

"I've got the greatest job in the world," Governale said.
