Howard Stern 1/12 Recap: Howard Stern and Kirstie Alley Celebrate A Happy Birthday

January 12 is Howard Stern's birthday, and he opened his show announcing it. Monday is also Kirstie Alley's birthday, and she appeared in the Stern Studio that morning to celebrate Stern's birthday.

For her own birthday, Kirstie Alley's daughter surprised her at dinner, but that was all.

Alley expressed not wanting to make a big deal out of her birthday. She did choose to sing Stern a happy birthday song, and sang to the tune of "Just the Way You Are."

Alley told Stern about her current career, and how she recently lost 50 lbs.

The public tend to be cruel to her on Twitter, calling her a "fat wh***," but Alley retaliates in good humor. "I may be a wh*** but I'm not fat anymore," she said.

She also spoke with Stern about her commitment to the church of Scientology, and her hopes for a more lucrative, future career acting on Broadway.

Howard Stern opened is birthday gifts, and a lot of them were from Robin. Robin Quivers got Stern a couple of art books about mixing pigment, water color and drawing faces, as well as an art journal.

She also got him some art supplies. Ronnie the Limo Driver wrote Howard a poem called "61 Years." Howard said it was terrible, and that it was a good thing Maya Angelou was dead before she had to hear it.

Update of Benjy's Weight Loss Challenge Benjy told Stern he was thinking of doing something with Jonah Hill, and getting Perez Hilton involved.

Howard noted that Benjy seemed to be losing weight for a while there, but apparently, the effort has slackened.
