Four acclaimed boutique motion studios were commissioned to each create an original video about The Get Together. Using the concept of how one person, one idea, one voice, one object can become a catalyst and magnet for connection and discovery, each piece reflects a distinctive creative approach.

The studios include PSY-OP, ALLDAYEVERYDAY, M SS NG P ECES and EXPOSURE. A microsite on houseofmarley.com will be populated with the videos, as well as activations, event information, and user-generated content. A dual launch event will take place in New York City and in Kingston, Jamaica.

Psyop - Creative Director, Gerald Ding

"We wanted to make a film that characterized music and its effect over people -- how one becomes many, how positivity becomes larger and how you can share that growth. The team wanted to create an emotional thread between the visuals and how the characters imagined themselves.

Portraying these messages were important and The House of Marley team spent six days in Kingston, Jamaica, scouting for the right talent and locations to create "The Get Together" spot.

We wanted to show how a song can bring together friends and strangers alike, and how a good vibe can multiply from one person and grow into an entire block party."

ALLDAYEVERYDAY

"This film focuses on young subway dancers in New York City - a group whose gathering habits are compelling and, at times, controversial. 'Showtime dancers,' as they are affectionately known, are passionate artists, selfless entertainers and kids just trying to make it.

While shooting, we noticed the reactions of other passengers, and the feeling was clear - occurrences like this are a vital pulse of New York City culture, a symphony of beats and movement injected into an otherwise monotonous daily routine.

This film is a celebration of music, dance, youth, energy, and the freedom to push into a crowded train car and instantly make everyone's day brighter."

m ssng peces - Director, Sam Fleischner

"This was one of my favorite experiences mainly because of the total freedom to create an original concept, cast characters, choreograph movements and choose the songs.

The Get Together is a film driven by creativity, generosity and the power of music."

EXPOSURE - Director, Wonford St. James

"To communicate the campaign message of one idea reaching many, we did the only thing that felt right for a speaker designed to bring people together - we threw a party, original dancehall style, hosted by legendary selector Albert 'iLawi' Johnson at his yard in Kingston. The Get Together dance was a celebration of old school dancehall played out by Jamaican soundmen, DJ's and selectors.

The party was a vinyl only event with iLawi digging through his extensive archive of 45's to drop a roots and culture history lesson on the gathered crowd while MC's Fyah George and Natty Pablo toasted and bubbled on the mic.

iLawi was joined by DJ Yardcore who represents a new generation of Jamaican selectors dedicated to keeping the positive fires of roots and culture reggae alive in modern Jamaica."
