Epic 'Penny Dreadful' Season 2 Trailer Released: Premiere Date

The Showtime series "Penny Dreadful" placed your worst nightmares into one dark and twisted show and now it's set to return this spring. The all new trailer is something of epic proportions and holds an even darker season.

Eva Green will resume her role as the eerie character Vanessa Ives in "Penny Dreadful's" second season along with Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton), Dorian Grey (Reeve Carney), Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett), Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) and The Creature (Rory Kinnear).
It may be the dark images paired with the haunting music playing in the background that makes the new trailer released by Showtime trailer every bit as spine tingling as the first season of "Penny Dreadful." Even more creepy is the image of what looks to be the character Madame Kali (Helen McCrory) in a tub filled with blood, a literal bloodbath if you will.
The trailer ends with a very dreadful statement as Ive's says, "When Lucifer fell, he did not fall alone." The words are chilling and the way in which Green says them really sends a message to those watching the trailer that season two will be a whole lot crazier than season one was.
The show is scheduled to return on April 26 on Showtime.
