The other morning I got up looking for what was new on the net and I stumbled upon a piece of video that was amazing.

It started with a quote from one of the greatest directors of our time, John Singleton.

The quote read: "How far are you willing to go to land a role you're really passionate about?". Dynamic. The tape rolled and a well dressed Tyrese Gibson appeared on screen. It was intense. He spoke with butler or sometime of servant who had a bit of an attitude but he wasn't having it. He went through his lines wonderfully and as he progressed. It felt like I was there. His words were cutting deep like a well sharpened knife. His face looked like it was made out of stone. I felt like I could get up and commence clapping right there at my kitchen table but the video wasn't done yet.
The next scene began with Mr. Gibson on his knees, tattered pants, shirtless. He saw screaming and pleading. Begging for something. I had no clue what that was but whatever he wanted, someone should have gotten it for him. His performance was intense. He walked a few steps. Glanced into the distance. All the things he did was done like a true performer.

He also filled the video with small b-role shots. Him sitting in bondage, and sitting crying. I was very captivated. The video faded and these wise words appeared on the screen. It said: "as an actor, you should NEVER assume that people know what you're capable of. We are perception creators so if those perceptions don't exist, you create them."
Then I find out the coolest thing. I find out that the video I just watched was Tyrese's audition tape for Django. And now Im mind blown.

Could I picture Tyrese in Jamie's place? My mind was now in role reversal. Putting Tyrese in the movie that I watched and figuring out if it fit. It did. Tyrese made me believe he could have easily played this role.

This piece of art showed an artist giving his all. Pouring his heart out on a blank canvas we call the screen.

His artistry has been showed in many other movies, but its funny that the one that doesn't make it to the big screen is the one to impress me the most.

No matter how big the canvas just paint. Someone is destined to see it and it will change someone thought process and ultimately their way of life.
