The new year means new music for Neon Hitch. The pop songstress just released a brand new five-song mixtape '301 to Paradise' over the weekend.

The release is available for free download on her official website at www.neonhitch.net/splash.

"I've been making a new album in secret since May. I have moved on from, for now, all the songs intended for my debut album as I felt like that project didn't have enough of my story and truth in it both lyrically and sonically," Neon Hitch explained about her latest release. "I was in a low place prior to starting the album over.

I know that people will be able to relate to that. Like everyone else, I'm fighting to find my purpose.

This journey has made me stronger and fearless, and that's my definition of freedom. Enjoy, my fellow tortured and magical souls - you are not alone."

Born on a bus to traveler parents, Neon Hitch, which is actually her real name, gained her confidence and gypsy-pop swag as a circus performer whose family made their living traveling and performing throughout the United Kingdom.

In 2007 she signed to The Beats Recordings and made her way to the United States.

As soon as Neon Hitch arrived in the states, she was signed to Warner Brothers and began working on her music with Benny Blanco, who also produced big names including Wiz Khalifa, Katy Perry, Taio Cruz, Britney Spears and even Ke$ha.

She worked on a project that was to be her debut album 'Beg, Borrow, and Steal'.

During this time she penned Ke$ha's #1 single "Blah Blah Blah" as well as performed as the featured vocalist on Gym Class Heroes' smash hit "Ass Back Home" before her own singles, "Luv U Betta" and "Gold" both went #1 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart in 2012.

Look for a lot more to come from Neon Hitch this year, and a rise to the top in the music industry!
