Comedy Central's 'Another Period' Renewed For Second Season

The historical satire show, that's a bit like reality TV took the wrong turn into an episode of "Downtown Abbey," from Comedy Central has been allowed to continue.

That is correct, "Another Period," is going to have a second season.

The show stars co-creators Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome. They play the two Bellacourt sisters who are looking to become rich and famous.

Only problem is that it's 1902 and one can't just make a youtube video for attention.

So instead the sisters go around terrorizing their Newport home town with schemes on how to become famous.

The show also focuses on the rest of the naive and foolish Bellacourt family as well as their servants who are forced to serve the family's every whim.

Comedy Central has requested another 10-episode season from the half hour show. While "Another Period" may have struggled to grab audiences attention at the beginning but Comedy Central reports that it's currently running with more than 9 million viewers.

As well as 4.6 million viewers in the form of various digital venues. In addition, Comedy Central has lost its popular late night new hosts, John Stewart and Steven Colbert. Along with the ending of "Key & Peele"

The series also has an incredible amount of comedic talent with its stars: Michael Ian Black, Paget Brewster, Jason Ritter, David Wayne and Christina Hendricks. "Another Period" also has a slew of guest appearances that add to the comedic effect.

The show is currently still airing the first season on Comedy Central. The second season will be out in 2016.
