Next month, Christopher Nolan will be releasing a new short film, "Quay." This is the first time in a while that one of Nolan's movies is not a big production like his "Dark Knight Trilogy" and, more recently, "Intersteller."

Rather, "Quay" is more of a refreshing and unexpected movie for Nolan. The movie is about the Quay brothers.

Stephen and Timothy Quay are twins, born in Pennsylvania and based in London. They are most widely known for their work in stop motion animation. The brothers have crafted an unique style that gained them a large following.

The film will be taking an in depth look at their studio in London and the way they work. The film is part of another of Nolan's projects where he's restoring older movies onto blu-ray.

Included, will be "The Brothers Quay On 35mm" with movies, such as: In Absentia, The Comb, and Crocodiles.

The film is going to be released in New York City on August 19th.

After the premiere of the movie, the Film Forum will holding a Q&A session with Nolan and the Quay brothers. Tickets are already available for this event.
