On Thursday's episode of The Young Turks, Cenk Uygur spoke about Democrats bowing down to Trump -- and he wasn't happy.

Cenk Uygur: Durbin, Pelosi Should Retire

Uygur began today's The Young Turks show by discussing the Democrats' plan to not contest Trump's staff picks.

In an interview, Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California said that there was nothing wrong with the Democrats' current strategy, and that there was no need to make any changes.

Uygur also explained that Illinois Democrat Dick Durbin said a similar thing.

Uygur was not happy with the out-of-touch attitude of the Democratic establishment, and he made it clear by telling both Nancy Pelosi and Dick Durbin to retire.

These establishment figures will likely continue the same strategies that they have for the last few decades, he argued.

Cenk Uygur: 'Fake News' a BS Excuse

In the same segment, Uygur brought up the fake news brouhaha. Although he admits that fake news is an issue and can be dangerous in certain cases, he explained that Hillary Clinton's blaming fake news for her loss is ridiculous.

Clinton lost because she was the second most disliked presidential candidate in history, he said. The blame for the Clinton loss lies squarely on Clinton and the establishment Democrats who insisted that she was a good candidate.

Hillary Clinton recently spoke about fake news, and suggested that the government look into legal options for stopping it.

Uygur was infuriated by this plan -- in trying to deflect the blame for her loss, Clinton wants to dismantle the first amendment, he explained.

Fake news, Uygur said, has been around as long as the Internet, and it wasn't called a problem until now.

Moreover, Uygur noted that Clinton and Democrats only started complaining about fake news after their historic loss -- they said nothing about it before.

Recently, Uygur was on ABC's This Week and said that Trump will use his position to enrich himself: "He didn't have $10 billion before...he will now." You can read about that exchange here.
