Fans of Black Sails have spoken: The most epic ship invasion scene from Season 2 of the popular Starz show was Vane capturing Ned Low's vessel.

The votes are in: the most badass takeover of a ship in Season 2 was Captain Vane defeating Ned Low. Watch your heads, thieves.

Ned Low was the first pirate to appear in Season 2, and it was thought that he would be a mainstay villain--the man who supplants Vane as Nassau's residential baddie. Vane, in turn, would be demoted from villain to anti-hero.

The latter happened, but Low wasn't in the show for long; in the scene of topic, Vane beat Low in a fight and decapitated him.

Vane later impaled Low's severed head on a stick for the citizens of the anarchic Nassau to see. He included a crudely written sign with the head. It read, "I angered Charles Vane."

This led to a temporary reconciliation between Vane and his former lover, Eleanor Guthrie--the head of Nassau's illegal trading business. This, however, didn't last long; Eleanor sided with Captain Flint, Vane's rival, who wanted to free a valuable hostage.

Vane wanted to keep her in his custody and collect a ransom. Eleanor ended up freeing the hostage, which angered Vane to the point where he killed Eleanor's father.

The British Navy, however, captured Eleanor at the end of Season 2, leaving her fate for the next season in jeopardy.

Black Sails Season 3 will air in 2016. For more about the pirate-themed series, visit its official website here.
