The very opinionated Bill O'Reilly visited The Ellen Show to chat about the 2016 Presidential Election and share what his thoughts are on the current political climate, as well as the candidates running for office.

As DeGeneres and O'Reilly chatted the host revealed that she wanted everyone to get along despite opinions and what everyone believes in. She said that this election year seems more toxic than there has ever been.

O'Reilly doesn't believe that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will be as nasty as they think. He believes that they will be much more measured and controlled.

O'Reilly pointed out that Trump's tactic of short responses no matter their tone came at the right time because people were fed-up with politics. That being said, O'Reilly believes that both Trump and Clinton should be civil.

He does believe that if Clinton goes after Trump, he will take the bait. He said that America is living in a very divisive time. DeGeneres pointed out that O'Reilly and Trump seem to be friends.

However, O'Reilly explained that he gets a lot of information from Trump. He had no idea that Trump was serious about running for President of the United States.

O'Reilly doesn't think that Trump will be short-tempered as president.

He also went on to say that Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, "is a nasty little guy." The guest went on to say that he would love to have Putin on his show.

O'Reilly gave an explanation as to why Trump won't release his tax returns which involved the press firestorm.

DeGeneres added that if Trump wasn't doing anything dishonest, he would release them. You can hear these explanations and more from O'Reilly's visit to The Ellen Show in the video below.
