Coming off of an episode with a meager two out of ten perfect matches, the 21 contestants had their work cut out for them on the second episode of the new season of "Are You The One?" With only nine more chances to fit the puzzle for $1 million, will the love struck matchmakers be able to pull it off?

The strategy so far has been to follow their hearts and go with their guts, but that obviously doesn't look to be panning out so well. Shelby & Nathan could prove to be trying too hard to make things match.

Shelby's not sure if Nathan is the one for her, and when Dario started putting some moves on her, she was certainly open to the conversation.

Layton & Jenni seem like an eager potential match, but not if Jessica has anything to say about it. Jessica was all up in Layton's business, and Layton was not keen on returning her favors.

"What you want is not always what you need," he rationalized, and while the tension built between the two, Jenni began to stray toward Anthony.

Brandon & Christina are potentially the most serious of the bunch. Sparks flew between the pair, and the word "future" is tossed around like they're fate isn't destined by reality dating television show.

The challenge of the day forced the boys to literally put words into the lady's mouths in order to earn a getaway date.

They had to pair ridiculous quotes, such as "I'm a hairy girl," and "My family's farts smell deadly, and so do mine," with the girl most likely to say it.

The winning pairs--Curtis and Briana, Alex and Jasmine, and Brandon and Christina--headed to La Beastia, the tallest and longest zip line in the United States, for their dream date, and were officially on the chopping block by the rest of the group to face facts in The Truth Booth: the only way to tell if a couple is eligible or not.

The date went well, and Briana opened up to Curtis about having a miscarriage in her past.

Curtis held his ground as the stoic, supportive match, and Briana was happy about his reaction. They're pegged as one of the strongest couples of the bunch.

The flame continued to grow between Brandon and Christina--but would it peter out once they were chosen to enter the Truth Booth? The Verdict: NO MATCH! Cue the tears.

The pair faced initial denial, but know if they want to the best chance at the millions, they'll have to move on.
