During the years Antony Cumia worked for SiriusXM as co-host of "The Opie and Anthony Show" he often complained on air about how little the satellite service promoted his show and channel.

There never seemed to be money for trips, special events, and the stunts that helped O&A build their brand and Cumia was vocal in pointing that out.

Now that he is no longer employed by SiriusXM, Cumia is still being critical of how the company chooses to spend its promotional dollars.

In a recent Twitter post, he questioned why the company would aggressively promote Joel Osteen, a minister/media personality who is apparently hosting a show on SirusXM.

This follows a disturbing and always unsuccessful ploy by SiriusXM to throw money at non-radio performers to host shows or even build channels with little return on investment.

The satellite provider has failed deals with Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart, and a host of others to show for it while actual radio performers -- people who are good at their craft -- operate with little promotion.

Cumia's former partners Greg "Opie" Hughes and Jim Norton recently signed new contracts to remain with the satellite company.

Though they host one of the most popular shows on the service, that deal was not promoted or even announced by the company. Instead, the hosts talked about it to their listeners, which is essentially preaching to the converted.

After being fired by SiriusXM for remarks he made on Twitter, Cumia launched a subscription based video and audio show which can be heard at anthonycumia.com.
