Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown Returns To CNN This Fall

When Anthony Bourdain took his unique act to CNN many questioned whether a travel show hosted by a chef would work on a news network.

Those questions have clearly been answered as Bourdain's "Parts Unknown" has become a rare bright spot for the network. It has been renewed for a fourth season airing this fall.

"Parts Unknown" is a different kind of food show.

Bourdain still eats in different places all over the world but he shows viewers an unvarnished view of how people actually live.

The show is a little grittier than its predecessor "No Reservations," which was not exactly a light program itself.

The series has been nominated for a number of Emmy awards, which is vindication for CNN President Jeff Zucker who purchased the unconventional series.

"We are extremely proud of the superb storytelling, highest-level production and singular voices of CNN's Original Series. They've clearly connected with viewers and critics alike and we are honored that the Television Academy has recognized their work," said Zucker.
