Lately it seems like Amy Schumer has gone from a top comedian with widespread success to being accused of stealing her jokes.

The comedian/actress/writer stopped by The Jim Norton Advice Show to defend herself against the claims that she was stealing jokes.

Norton was trying to get into contact with Schumer to have her on the show and when it seemed like she wouldn't even be able to call in, she made the special effort to go on in person.

Schumer joked about being motivated to go on the show to see Norton's apartment, however, she stated that she wanted to go on the show to clear her name because she has never stolen nor would she ever steal a joke.

Shcumer said that she is going to take a polygraph test and put it on her show during the new season. She said that she had never seen the Tammy Pescatelli comedy bit and didn't sit on that for nine years before the film.

She believed that Pescatelli was actually the one who was "trying to get something going," as she put it in the interview.

She continued to tell Norton that she is very cautious when it comes to jokes and often asks if they have been done before because of all the material she has to come up. Schumer said it would be stupid of her to do it.

Norton agreed that it doesn't make sense for Schumer to praise Wendy Liebman then steal her jokes.

Meanwhile, Schumer says that people build people up and then they like to rip them down when they experience a certain level of success.

During the interview, Schumer also spoke about her gun stance, Lights Camera Jackson and the Critics Choice Awards.
