Whoopi Goldberg got very emotional as she spoke about Flynn which only got worst as "The View" moved into their segment between Goldberg and Mike Nichols time before his passing at age 83.

According to The Roots, Flynn began to question her parents about the violence that has ensued in Ferguson after Officer Darren Wilson, shot and killed Michael Brown on August 9. The shooting sparked a few silent protests as rappers such as Kendrick Lamar and The Game took to Twitter change their profile photo to a blank photo.

Other artists such as J. Cole with "Be Free," released their own songs in tribute to Brown.

"She said to me, 'Mom, what's going on?' and I explained to her, because I have to--I told her what's going on, and she said, 'But it's not right these people look so sad; maybe I could do something for them,' " her mother, Paula Flynn, told WOFL," according to The Roots.

Flynn now wants to travel to Missouri in hopes that she can be able to bring peace to the growing violence in Ferguson, Missouri.

According to The Roots, Flynn's father taught her how to play "Let There Be Peace," and now all she wants to do is fly out to Ferguson to help the situation.

"There's a lot of scariness there and violence and fighting, so I really just want them to have [peace] and happiness," said Flynn according to The Roots.
