X-Men: Dark Phoenix Official Synopsis Has Landed

20th Century Fox has now revealed the full synopsis for X-Men: Dark Phoenix today. Also coming later tonight is a proper trailer that will be released online officially by 20th Century Fox.

It was only yesterday that we saw a leaked trailer from Russia get released.

It was hard to tell what the movie was about because it was in the Russian language, but today's synopsis reveals more what the movie will be about. Details have been posted down below.

In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

This is the second time that 20th Century Fox is trying out the famous Dark Phoenix storyline. The first attempt wasn't that great back in 2006 with the X-Men: The Last Stand movie...

Anyway, we will update this post later tonight to show you the official trailer for the movie. Dark Phoenix releases in North America on February 14th, 2019.
