WWE TLC 2017 is one of the strangest PPVs I have seen in a long time.

It was an entertaining show, although it was chaotic and disjointed thanks to the nature of last minute changes. The absences of Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt caused WWE to book both Kurt Angle and AJ Styles in their place.

Let's talk about Kurt Angle first as this was his first WWE match in 11 long years.

Instead of wrestling in his old attire, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose gave him The Shield gear that Roman Reigns usually wears. It was funny to see Angle in black, but he didn't disappoint.

Angle did a lot more in this match than I thought. He managed to do all of his signature movies including the German Suplex, Ankle Lock and the Angle Slam.

Angle even managed to be put through a table by Braun Strowman. I was scared at Angle's health, but he looked like a natural inside of the ring. Hopefully we will see more of him.

Strowman had some beef with Kane, which caused some dissension with The Miz's team. Strowman ended up being put inside a garbage trunk.

All that was left was Kane, Cesaro, Sheamus and The Miz. Angle was out temporarily while Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose were getting isolated.

The main event was chaotic and very long, but it was entertaining.

The best part of the night was seeing Kurt Angle come back. He managed to take out everyone and The Shield did the powerbomb on The Miz to win the match.

The other great match at TLC 2017 was AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor. What I like about this match is that they didn't spam their finishers.

It was a clean and exciting match that had back and forth action.

Not to mention there were not any slow and boring parts in the match either. It could be the best technical wrestling match I have seen all year.

The match was given a generous time of over 18 minutes and both AJ Styles and Finn Balor gave a performance to remember.

At the end though, Finn Balor won with the Coup de grace. The two embraced at the end doing the "Too Sweet" gesture made famous by their former faction The Bullet Club.

The show opened with a decent women's match featuring the debut of Asuka and Emma. I'm glad WWE is allowing Emma to shine since she has been a jobber for far too long.

Emma was able to give Asuka a good fight. Asuka however was too strong as Emma tapped out to the Asuka Lock.

The Crusierweight Tag Team match featuring Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick was a good match as well.

Both Alexander and Swann were able to to showcase their athleticism with high flying moves. Alexander and Swann won much to the delight of the WWE Universe.

Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James for the Raw Women's Championship was okay.

It was nothing special, but at least the match had a clean and decisive finish.

It seems as if WWE is booking Alexa Bliss as a legit champion as she managed to beat Mickie James without cheating. This feud is sure to continue as Mickie James is not ready to retire yet.

The only bad match of the card was the Cruiserweight Title match featuring Kalisto vs. Enzo Amore. Enzo Amore is good on the microphone and that's it.

Sadly, Amore still sucks in the ring and it showed in this match. Surprisingly, WWE let Amore win to become a two-time Cruiserweight Champion. Amore's push is just one of the reasons why Neville quit the company...

Overall, WWE TLC 2017 was a much better show than I expected it to be.

It was refreshing to see Kurt Angle back in the ring and AJ Styles and Finn Balor gave us a classic match. Hopefully the WWE is able to keep this momentum heading into Survivor Series next month.
