WWE Crown Jewel 2019 Was Interesting

The second annual Crown Jewel event was held earlier this week and it was an interesting show. The show wasn't great by all means, but it wasn't a total disaster either.

Probably the most shocking result of the event was Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velaquez for the WWE Title. The match only lasted for just over 2 minutes long with Velaquez tapping out to Lesnar's Kimura lock!

I'm surprised WWE allowed Velaquez to look so weak in his debut WWE match. Maybe they did this because Mr Velaquez still needs more training to be a competent pro wrestler.

It looks like we're going to have Brock Lesnar vs Rey Mysterio in the near future since Mysterio hit Lesnar with lots of steel chair shots after the match was finished.

Another interesting result was boxer Tyson Fury winning his singles match against Braun Strowman in 8 minutes. The finish was kind of weak as Fury punched Strowman and he won by countout.

I think the match suffered since they weren't allowed to use weapons like Big Show and Floyd Mayweather did 11 years ago. Nevertheless, Fury was expected to win since outside celebrities rarely lose in wrestling matches.

The Natalya vs Lacey Evans match was pretty cool since this is the first women's match to be held in Saudi Arabia. Sure it's a match we've seen lots of times, but it's great to see progress being made.

Another shocking event was The Fiend Bray Wyatt winning the Universal Title against Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins performed his Stomp move 8 times, but this was still not enough to beat The Fiend.

The Fiend winning the title effectively means the Raw brand does not have a Heavyweight Title belt! This is because Bray Wyatt is a member of the Friday Night Smackdown roster.

We'll probably have to wait and see what happens on Raw to see how the show can continue without a main champion. I'm pretty sure Smackdown isn't allowed to have two champions all of the time!
