Is WrestleMania 33 Going To Be The Undertaker's Last Match?

WrestleMania 33 is on next week and it could be the last time we ever see The Undertaker wrestling inside of a WWE ring.

This could be a bittersweet ending as many people don't want him to retire yet. That being said, the man is 52 years old and his ring skills are degrading every year.

There is more concern this year more than ever due to the state of The Undertaker's hip.

His hip is in real bad shape and he needs surgery badly. It's expected he will get hip surgery after WrestleMania 33 and once it's done, his in-ring career will be over for good.

Talks about Undertaker's retirement usually happens every year, but this time it's more scary due to his opponent.

He's facing none other than WWE's chosen one in Roman Reigns. Vince McMahon chose this match personally as he wants Undertaker to pass the torch to Roman Reigns.

Initially, WrestleMania 33 was going to have Undertaker face off against John Cena.

Vince McMahon changed his mind and felt Reigns needed the match more. His reasoning is that Reigns is building towards the future and Cena doesn't need the match since he's taking time off after WrestleMania to film more movies.

By the way WWE has been booking Reigns, it's highly likely Reigns will be the second person to ever beat Undertaker at a WrestleMania event.

Fans are likely going to boo this outcome, but wrestlers usually retire losing in their last match. Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin and more all lost their last matches before they retired for good.

There's small hope that The Undertaker could come back next year to face John Cena, but those chances are appearing very slim due to his health.

The Undertaker deserves to retire soon as he's done a lot for the wrestling business and doesn't need to prove anything anymore.
