The review embargo for the 2017 Wonder Woman movie has lifted and the movie is thankfully getting really positive reviews.

This is great for Warner Bros. and DC since the three previous movies in the DCEU franchise have all had mixed to negative reviews.

As seen on Rotten Tomatoes, the current rating for Wonder Woman is a very healthy 96% percent (as of time of writing). 43 reviews for it are positive while only two of them are negative.

The movie has an average score of 7.8/10 so far. You can read the critical consensus for the movie below.

Thrilling, earnest, and buoyed by Gal Gadot's charismatic performance, Wonder Woman succeeds in spectacular fashion.

In comparison, the other DCEU movies weren't received that well. Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad have ratings of 55 percent, 28 percent and 25 percent respectively.

Hopefully this is a sign that the upcoming Justice League is great too. That movie won't be out until November.

It's also great to see that Gal Gadot's performance as Wonder Woman is being praised as well.

Her initial casting was met with a mixed reception as many comic book fans felt she was too skinny and play the part.

Gal Gadot silenced critics with her small performance in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and now it looks like she has hit it out of the park again.

It also appears as if the movie will bring life back to the Summer blockbuster season. Only Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been making lots of money this Summer so far.

Movies like King Arthur and Baywatch have flopped. Not to mention Alien: Covenant and Pirates of the Caribbean 5 have been grossing less money than their predecessors. The positive buzz for Wonder Woman could lead to a huge Box Office weekend.
